Primosten

James and I both agree – the journey is the reward. We love being under way making way with the sails full and our feet dangling off the back of the swimming platform.

This is how we spent most of the day yesterday, and we were deliriously happy.

Just before sunset we spotted a lovely town with a marina and decided to anchor there for the night. We didn’t fully discover until the next morning just how charming Primosten really is.

We docked our dinghy at a cute little restaurant with a patio dining room hanging over the water. We walked around town and asked one of the street merchants where to eat – and she recommended Toni, where we had tied up our dinghy, Konoba Toni.

For appetizers we had the most amazing octopus salad. I ate a pasta with shrimp in a lightly creamy red sauce. James had a whole grilled sea bass and especially enjoyed the cheeks. Delicious.

The next morning we explored the town and walked to the church at the top. What a lovely place.

We’re just now stopping in a lovely little cove for a swim before we head out to Split to return the boat.

Tomorrow we embark on our final leg – this time sailing south in a 2016 35 foot Beneteau Oceanis sailboat.

Ahoy!
