The charming town of Cisternino has an old town centre that has whitewashed houses, narrow streets, historic churches and an elegant central piazza. There are several panoramic view points from which to see from the surrounding countryside to the Adriatic Sea. Such a fun excursion with Lee and Ciro and Luca, plus Esther who joined us here from Holland for a brief visit.

This region is surrounded by local agriculture – olive trees, vineyards, orchards and vegetable gardens – and known for its good, wine and seafood.

We ate the most delicious pizza at Doppio Zero in the centro piazza and gelato for dessert. Yum!
